Color seat belts with a raised relief for models of the German First World War fighters Albatros D.II, D.III and D.V in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Seat belts are seen close up in an open cockpit and in plastic they are usually no more than a hinted bump on the seat. This set replaces them with color elements with a raised relief: the strap has a depth of its own, the fittings and the buckles have a shade of their own and you do not have to paint them with a brush at dimensions of tenths of a millimeter. The difference shows precisely on biplanes, where you look down into the cockpit with nothing in the way.
The Albatros D.II, D.III and D.V are German single-seat fighter biplanes of the First World War. What they share is a slender fuselage with a wooden skin and a view into an open cockpit, where the seat with its belts is the most conspicuous element of the interior. On the later D.III and D.V versions the lower wing has a narrower chord than the upper one and the struts between the wings form the letter V.
Before applying them, check in the maker's instructions whether the elements are self-adhesive. The method of application differs between individual ranges, so do not set to work until you have checked the procedure. The surface must be dry, degreased and flat. Move the element with tweezers, seat it accurately the first time, because sliding it across the surface rubs the color off, and press it down with a soft tip. Once seated, the strap can be bent slightly so that it does not look like a plank. Finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage.
A set of color elements is supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
