Kits-World 1:48 a stand with wooden planking, Finland and Russia 1940 to 1944 is a printed display base 1013 x 675 mm.
Responsibility details are not available.
A base from Kits-World on which a finished model is stood. The motif is not concrete slabs as at newer airfields but the surface of a stand firmed up with timber: planks and baulks of the kind used at field airfields in the north and east of Europe in the years 1940 to 1944. It is neither a kit nor a decal.
A wooden surface is an entirely different base for a model than concrete: it has a pronounced pattern, goes toward warm brown tones and plays against the landing gear and the color of the fuselage differently from a gray surface. That is exactly why you would choose this base when a model is to stand on the makeshift surface of a field airfield rather than at a permanent station. The years given are a technical figure for matching the vintage of the kit.
The 1013 x 675 mm format is rectangular, so the area comes out elongated; a wooden stand naturally runs lengthwise and a square would crop it needlessly. In 1:48 scale the longer side corresponds to roughly 48 meters. What matters most, though, is the figure 675: all the bases in the same scale share this height, so two sheets laid side by side butt up along the edge and the scene can be extended without a step. The artwork does not continue as a motif, but the surface stays unbroken and without a gap. For a display case, have a meter of clear width ready.
A printed base is included in the delivery. The model, figures and vehicles for the scene are not in the package.
