Kits-World 1:48 RAF Scampton, Lincolnshire, 2000 to 2021 is a printed display base 675 x 675 mm showing the surface of this station.
Responsibility details are not available.
A printed sheet from Kits-World that serves as a base for a finished model. It shows the paved surface of RAF Scampton air base in Lincolnshire in the state matching the span of years 2000 to 2021. It is neither a kit nor a decal; nothing is glued and the model is simply stood on the base.
The motif is the operational surface of the station with the division and coloring of the paving. The time span in the name is a factual figure: by it you can tell which models the base matches in both color and period. The manufacturer makes Scampton in more than one base variant, differing in which part of the airfield is on the sheet, so when choosing go by the whole name rather than just the name of the station.
A sheet of 675 x 675 mm corresponds in 1:48 scale to roughly 32 meters of surface on each side. A square is practical in that you can turn the base through ninety degrees and the scene works just as well; try both orientations before you settle the model for good. The limit tends to be the depth of a shelf: an ordinary display case is thirty to forty centimeters deep, so the sheet will overhang. If you do not want to deal with an overhang, reach for the same motif in a smaller scale, where the side of the sheet is markedly shorter.
A printed base is supplied. The model, a stand and the accessories are not included in the package.
