About product

Resin Beaching Gear Set for the Macchi M.39, 1:72 (SBS Model)

This is a resin accessory, not a complete model. The set holds cast parts of the launching and handling undercarriage (beaching gear) for the Italian Macchi M.39 racing floatplane in 1:72 scale. The wheeled dolly makes it possible to display the floatplane ashore in a realistic position for handling at the waterside.

What the set is for

Racing floatplanes had no conventional landing gear; ashore they were moved on a detachable wheeled dolly. This accessory gives the model a faithful ground setting and allows a striking installation on a stand or in a diorama. The set is intended for the Macchi M.39 model in 1:72 scale.

Usage tips

  • Wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts in lukewarm water with detergent.
  • Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife and sand with respiratory protection.
  • Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
  • Apply a primer suitable for resin before painting.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of racing floatplanes in 1:72.
  • Modelers who want to display a model ashore on its dolly.
  • More experienced modelers with resin behind them.

This is a resin accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.

FAQ

No. It is a resin accessory: the wheeled launching undercarriage. The base kit of the floatplane is not included in the package.

Ashore, a racing floatplane was moved on a detachable wheeled dolly; the accessory reproduces that faithfully.

With cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); wash the mold release agent off first and cut away the casting blocks.
