A sticker with the motif of the Avia S-199 fighter in a black finish. It is a promotional item, not modeling material: it does not replace masking film, it is not a decal and it is not used during a build. The line holds two numbered renderings of this motif, marked 1 and 2 in the name, and each of them additionally in black and white.
The Avia S-199 is a postwar Czechoslovak fighter. It came about by pairing the airframe of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G with the Junkers Jumo 211 engine, which had survived in stocks meant for bombers. The substitute powerplant and a different propeller changed the behavior of the machine on the ground and at low speeds, which earned it the reputation of a difficult aircraft. Even so it was the first fighter type of the reconstituted Czechoslovak Air Force, and the machines also reached service abroad.
For those who have a soft spot for the type and want it in view outside the display case as well. The black finish reads on a light surface; the white version of the same rendering is made as a separate item.
This is a promotional item, not a modeling mask, a decal or a kit. Stick it on a clean, dry and smooth surface.
