A separate figure in modeling resin in 1:35. It is not a vehicle kit but a figure that gives a finished model scale and action. The pose is set out by the name: the figure carries a canister, which is one of the most rewarding subjects for dioramas of maintenance and topping up fluids. Take the marking given in the name as a statement about the type of uniform, that is as a guide for choosing the colors.
Resin holds sharp detail, but it is also brittle, so thin parts such as a handle or fingers call for careful handling. Before building, wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that the mold release agent disappears. Cut the casting block off with a modeling saw a little way from the part and sand the remainder down; wipe the parting lines down with fine sandpaper. Sand wet and with your airways protected. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). With a carried load, check the angle of the arm against the body dry, so that the pose reads naturally and the canister does not hang crooked.
Apply a thin base and proceed from the clothing to the equipment and finally to the skin. It pays to paint the canister and the metal parts separately before gluing, so that a brush can reach them. It is exactly on those that wear stands out: fine scrapes on the edges, dark running around the cap and a matte, slightly dusted surface. Finish textile with a matte clear coat and leave the leather and the metal in a semi-gloss. The figure suits the side of a vehicle, the rear of a hull or a scene with other figures at maintenance.
