The AMX-30 is a French tank of the 1960s, built for mobility rather than for the strength of its armor. A whole family of further vehicles comes from its chassis, and the second designation in the name, AMX F1, points into that family. On a tracked vehicle the road wheels are among the most prominent parts of the running gear: they are visible from the side along the whole length, they repeat, and any inaccuracy in their shape or seating shows on a finished model.
It is a set of replacement road wheels in 1:35 scale, that is an accessory with which the parts from the kit are replaced. How many wheels the package holds and which kits the set is drawn for are given in the manufacturer's instructions. The set deals only with the running gear wheels and changes nothing else on the model.
If the parts are not polystyrene, so that ordinary plastic cement does not work on them, they are glued with super glue. Cut the excess material off a little way from the part with a sharp blade and sand the rest down carefully, so as not to spoil the circumference of the wheel. Wash and degrease the wheels before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly. When fitting them, watch that all the wheels lie in one plane and at the same spacing, as otherwise the track will not run straight and the model will rock on its base. Let the glue set while the whole running gear is held against a flat board.
A set of wheels is supplied. The kit, tracks, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
