A collector's model of the ZSL-10 wheeled armored personnel carrier in 1:72 scale from the brand Dragon. It has to be said right at the start that it is not a plastic kit: the model comes assembled and painted in production including the markings, so all you have to do is unpack it and stand it in a display case. The particular form is the variant with digital camouflage, which is exactly what sets this item apart from the other camouflage versions of the same vehicle.
The ZSL-10 is a modern wheeled armored personnel carrier of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Its task is to carry a squad of infantry to the battlefield under armor protection, and if need be to support the dismounted infantry with fire from a weapon on the roof. The wheeled chassis gives the vehicle high transport speed on paved roads and lower maintenance demands than a tracked vehicle, which is decisive for fast moves. The vehicle belongs to a wider family of Chinese wheeled armored vehicles from which fighting and artillery forms also come. Digital, or pixel, camouflage is a newer type of finish that breaks up the outline of a vehicle with a fine grid instead of large areas of color.
The model is finished as soon as it is unpacked. A closed display case is a suitable place, because dust is harder to remove from fine details than from a smooth surface and a factory finish suffers in direct sun. Use a soft brush or an air blower for cleaning rather than a damp cloth. The 1:72 scale is one of the most widespread collector's scales, so the model sits well beside further vehicles and aircraft of the same size.
The model is supplied finished and painted in production. It is not a kit, and you need neither glue nor paints for it.
