A collector's model from the production of the Forces of Valor brand. It combines the part of the flight deck of the nuclear aircraft carrier CVN-65 marked with the letter D and the carrier fighter aircraft F-14A Tomcat in the markings of the VF-32 Swordsmen squadron. The model is finished, assembled and painted straight from manufacture, so it goes into a display case right away. The line is divided into several lettered sections, so a collection can be extended gradually.
The CVN-65 was the first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and its flight deck belongs among the best-known workplaces of naval aviation. The F-14A Tomcat is a two-seat carrier fighter aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, intended for the defense of a task force and for the use of long-range guided missiles. The VF-32 squadron, nicknamed the Swordsmen, belongs among the traditional fighter units of the US Navy, and its badge appeared on the tail surfaces of Tomcats as well.
A model in 1:200 scale takes up little room in a display case, yet the guide lines, the markings and the texture of the surface stand out on the deck plate. It looks best in a closed display case, where dust does not settle on it and direct sunlight, which gradually changes the shades of the paint, does not fall on it. You will take the dust off with a soft brush or a dry microfiber cloth; do not use solvents or alcohol, as they would damage the surface finish and the printing. Take hold of the aircraft by the fuselage or by the deck plate, not by the tail surfaces and the landing gear, which are the thinnest.
This is a finished collector's model intended for display, not a kit. We recommend a closed display case away from direct sunlight.
