A plastic kit of the small Honda CT 125 Hunter Cub off-road motorcycle in 1:12 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi. The box belongs to the NEXT modeling line (designation B-NX-4) and captures the motorcycle in the factory color version Matt Fresco Brown, that is, in a matte brown shade. It is a collector's model intended for building and display, not a toy.
The Honda CT 125 Hunter Cub carries on the long family of small Cub single-cylinder machines. It combines the proven step-through frame and a semi-automatic gearbox without a hand clutch lever with equipment for light off-road use: a high-routed exhaust, a sturdy rear carrier, wide footpegs and increased ground clearance. Thanks to its low weight, simple maintenance and modest fuel consumption it has become a favored machine for leisure, camping and everyday travel. At the same time its retro look with prominent side covers and polished details has made it a rewarding modeling subject.
With motorcycles in 1:12 scale it is above all the order of work that decides the result. Finish the frame with the engine first, and only then hang the ancillaries, the wiring and the cables on them - once the assembly is closed up they are hard to reach. If you are going to paint the bodywork and the tank, degrease the surfaces first and lay the paint down in thin coats. Matte shades are easily polished by fingerprints, so handle the finished parts through gloves or a soft cloth. Leave the polished and chrome parts for the end and mask them during further work. Brake lines and cables can be added very easily with fine wire or tubing.
The model is supplied unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
