An injection-molded plastic kit of the Ducati 888 Superbike Racer racing motorcycle in the attractive 1:12 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya. The large scale allows a richly rendered engine, frame, fairing and running gear and produces an impressive collector model. The kit is intended to be assembled and painted.
The Ducati 888 was an Italian racing superbike of the turn of the eighties and nineties that followed on from the 851 model. It was powered by the characteristic Ducati V-twin with desmodromic valve gear and liquid cooling. In the World Superbike Championship it was among the very best and it made the Ducati name famous on the circuits.
Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic and use a small amount on the joints. Assemble and paint the engine and the frame before closing the fairing. Bring out the glossy areas with a quality varnish; chrome and metal parts can be highlighted with a suitable paint. Apply the sponsor decals onto a smooth glossy surface and seal them with varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
