This is an aftermarket detail set from the Japanese brand Top Studio in 1:12 scale. It is not a motorcycle model but a set of replacement parts with which you replace the simplified steering damper of a plastic model with a faithful miniature of resin, photo-etched and turned metal. The set is intended for models of the Honda NSR500, NSR250 and RS250 in 1:12 scale.
The Honda NSR500 was a two-stroke 500 with a V4 engine, one of the most successful machines of the 500 cc class of the road racing world championship in the 1980s and 1990s. The smaller NSR250 and RS250 belonged to the quarter-liter class. A steering damper stabilizes the handlebars under acceleration and in corners.
First wash the parts to remove any mold release residue and clean up the casting remains. Glue both the resin and the metal parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and wear respiratory protection while sanding. We recommend test-fitting the small turned parts dry before gluing them in.
The detail set does not contain the motorcycle model itself. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
