This injection-molded plastic kit in the striking 1:12 scale from the Japanese brand Tamiya captures the customized version of the Yamaha XV1600 Road Star motorcycle. The assembled model measures roughly 20.8 cm in length. The package contains chrome-plated and clear parts, rubber tires, decals, painting masks and assembly instructions.
The Road Star is powered by a massive air-cooled V-twin with a displacement of 1600 cc, which made it one of the most powerful production motorcycles at the time of its launch. The telescopic front fork and the hidden rear shock give the machine the classic hardtail look with a low, stretched silhouette and plenty of chrome.
Assemble the frame and the engine first and only then deal with the bodywork and the chrome accessories. Overcoat the painted tank and fenders with a gloss clear coat for a deep shine. The enclosed masks make separating the colors easier and decals should be laid onto a dried finish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
