A kit figure item in 1:35 scale from a range whose subject is leading prisoners away from the battlefield. The subject is the captured crew of a German tank in the period of 1944 to 1945. It is not a kit of equipment, nor a finished painted figure, but an item to assemble and paint. The accompanying escort figure is a separate item, so a continuous scene can be put together from both sides of the range.
Tank crews differ from infantry in the cut of their clothing and in having no heavy field equipment, so they bring a different silhouette into a diorama than ordinary foot figures. Combined with a knocked-out vehicle or with an escort, they make a view that holds together on its own. Check the particular number of figures, their poses and their items of equipment on the box.
Before building, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Cut off the mold seams and the casting remains with a sharp knife and polish them with fine sandpaper. Try the assembly dry. Apply a base coat before painting. The clothing of tank crews tends to be dark, so do not build the shadow by darkening it too much but rather by bringing out the edges and the folds with a lighter tone, otherwise the detail is lost. Paint the faces last in thin coats. Restrained dirt on the lower parts helps the scene, and the finished surface should be unified with a matte varnish.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
