DUAL EXO 5A – SUPERNOVA RED 60ML.

Dual Exo 5A Supernova Red, acrylic paint, 60 ml

An acrylic paint from the Dual Exo range by the AK interactive brand. The shade Supernova Red is red, as its name says, and it belongs among coatings with a satin semi-gloss. The volume of the container is 60 ml.

How to build a red shade in layers

Red and other strongly colored tones are generally built up on a model gradually. One thick coat tends to be a worse choice than three thin ones: it fills the engraving in, emphasizes brush strokes and dries less well. When an area really has to be even, a light base helps, on which the colored coat evens out sooner. With an airbrush keep a lower pressure and several misting passes; with a brush work in smaller sections. The resulting satin finish then keeps the shape of the model legible and at the same time looks like a painted surface rather than chalk.

Use

• Mix the paint repeatedly before and during the work.
• Build the shade in several thin coats rather than all at once.
• A light base helps a saturated tone to even the area out faster.
• Let the surface dry between coats and watch out when speeding drying up with heat.
• Clean the airbrush and the brushes right after working with a product for acrylic paints.

Who the paint is for

For modelers who need a strong color tone with a ready semi-gloss, for example on science fiction equipment, robots, racing machines or scenic accessories. The 60 ml volume is enough for repeated use as well.
