1:48 3D seat belts and cushions for the ejection seat of the Blackburn Buccaneer from Kits-World is a decal accessory that gives the seat relief and color detail.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Kits-World set is not a kit but a small decal accessory to a plastic model. According to the name it contains 3D seat belts and cushions for the Martin Baker type ejection seat used in the Blackburn Buccaneer. The elements are printed on decal paper and applied with water, so there is no bending of photo-etched metal and no painting of individual straps.
On a model with an open canopy the ejection seat is the most noticeable element of the cockpit, and the belts are the first thing a viewer notices. Kit parts usually have them only suggested or do not include them at all. The Blackburn Buccaneer is a British twin-engine strike aircraft meant for flight at low altitude, and its cockpit is clearly visible under the large glazing.
First paint the seat and coat it with gloss varnish, otherwise a silvery rim will stay around the decal. Trim the individual elements as close as possible, soak them briefly in lukewarm water and carry them into place with a soft brush or tweezers. Blot the excess water away and press the belt down gradually with a cotton swab, so that it follows the shape of the cushion and the backrest. Over edges, patient pressing with a swab in small sections helps. Check in the manufacturer's instructions whether a decal softener can be used on the belts. Finally coat the whole seat with a matte varnish, which unifies the sheen of the base.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit, which the package does not contain. The model, paints, varnish and glue are not part of the set.
