The Falcon Scale Models chain set for the Ducati Panigale Superleggera in 1:12 scale replaces the simplified chain from a kit. It is an accessory to a motorcycle model, not a kit in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
On a motorcycle model the chain is one of the most noticeable parts and at the same time the one that a production kit handles worst. An injection-molded plastic part has coarse links and a solid structure, so it gives itself away at first sight. This set is a replacement chain for a model of the Ducati Panigale Superleggera in 1:12 scale and is of the kind that covers chains, forks and brake discs.
The Panigale Superleggera is a limited lightened version of the Italian Ducati Panigale supersport. It is built on cutting weight to the maximum and on composite parts, so on the real machine the drivetrain and the rear swingarm stand out as well, exactly the places where a model looks the viewer in the eye.
Before installation, check how the chain meets the sprocket and the spacing between the wheels; assemble the set at the moment when the wheels and the swingarm are only fitted for trial. Work over a surface with a rim and with fine tweezers. Bond spot by spot and in minimal amounts, so that the glue does not get between the links. Leave the painting for last: a dark metal shade and a fine wash in the recesses of the chain will do the work for you. A slightly darkened lower part and a hint of a film of lubricant at the sprocket look realistic, but do not overdo the weathering.
This is an accessory to a model, not a motorcycle kit in its own right. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
