Colored 3D interior elements for the Yak-9T and Yak-9DD fighters in 1:48 scale, ready for the Modelsvit kit. They are applied from water.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Yak-9 was a Soviet fighter of the Second World War that appeared in a whole range of specialized versions. The T version carried a heavy cannon firing through the propeller hub, while the DD version was a long-range machine with a larger fuel load for escort flights. Both share the same cockpit, which can be seen into well under an open canopy.
Colored 3D elements of the pilot's compartment: the instrument panel, the side panels, the seat straps and other surfaces. The print has three-dimensional depth, and the dials and lettering are colored at the factory.
The elements are printed on a decal backing paper and are applied like a decal. Cut the part out, dip it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own, so it only holds on a gloss varnish such as Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22, and on an uneven surface a drop of cyanoacrylate helps. Press it down with a soft tool from the center outwards. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as they would attack the printed resin.
For modelers who build a Yak with an open cockpit and want the instruments legible without writing them out with a brush. The set also suits anyone who builds faster and does not want to spend a whole evening over the cockpit with the thinnest brush in the house. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
