This set from Quinta Studio is a decal accessory, not a kit. It contains 3D-printed and already painted decals on decal paper, which are applied to the parts of a plastic model and replace its flat inner surfaces with three-dimensional detail. The name gives neither the extent of the set nor the contents of the package, so check them on the box.
The MiG-29 is a single-seat twin-engine fighter whose version A machines also entered the armament of several NATO air forces. In 1:32 scale the cockpit is large and an open canopy makes it the main visual feature of a model. Colored 3D decals bring relief and color at the same time, so brush-painting tiny instruments, panels and side consoles falls away.
The surface under the decal must be smooth and overcoated with gloss varnish, otherwise a silvery edge will dry around it. Cut the individual elements out closely, soak them in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and move them into place with a soft brush. Blot up the remaining water and press the element down with a cotton swab. Do not use a softener or setting solution; their chemicals would damage the printed resin and ruin the element. The finished interior is usually sealed with matte varnish.
It is an accessory for a plastic kit, which the package does not contain. The model, paints, varnish and glue are not included in the set.
