This set of painting masks cut from kabuki tape in 1:48 scale from New Ware, at the basic BASIC level, makes it easier to spray the glazing and the other clear parts of a model of the single-seat F-16 fighter in the F-16A MLU (NATO Viper) and F-16C Block 25/42 versions. It is an accessory for masking during painting, not a kit.
The BASIC level usually covers the cockpit frames and the wheels, so that the transitions between the paint and the clear area come out sharp and even. The masks are cut accurately to shape and numbered, which does away with laboriously laying down strips of masking tape.
Degrease the clear parts, transfer the masks onto the glazing according to the list and press them carefully against the edges of the frames. Spray the paint in thin coats so that it does not creep under the edge of a mask. Once dry, lift the masks off carefully.
The package contains masks only; the model, paints and glue are not part of it.
