A combined metal detail set in 1:144 scale for a model of the giant An-225 Mriya cargo aircraft. The designation big edition suggests that this is a more extensive package than the individual partial sets the brand offers separately. It is not a kit of the aircraft but an accessory for a plastic model.
The An-225 Mriya was a six-engine cargo aircraft derived from the design of the An-124, built for the carriage of oversize loads including loads carried on the back of the fuselage. A single example was completed, with twin vertical tails and extensive multi-wheel landing gear. The single completed machine was destroyed in 2022.
With an extensive set it pays to start with a plan, not with glue: go through the parts and mark which of them replace plastic parts and which have to be glued in before the fuselage or the wing is closed. You will not get inside again afterwards. Leave the parts on the fret until their turn comes, or the small pieces will be lost; while working, set them down in a shallow dish or on a magnetic mat. Degrease the metal with alcohol and lay a primer on. Paint the interior spaces before assembly; small exterior parts, on the other hand, should be glued on only after the paint and the gloss clear, so that they are not flooded with paint.
This is an accessory for adding detail to a plastic kit, not a model of its own. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
