Late wheels for the Avro Lancaster and the Avro Lincoln in 1:144 scale cover a pair of related British bombers. In the package you will find the wheels; the aircraft has to be obtained separately.

The last of the trio of sets that Armory divided according to production periods. This item is aimed at late machines and takes the successor type into the name along with them, because both used an identical execution of the wheel. The tires are again shaped into a weighted state and the intended use remains universal.
As the war drew to a close, British industry needed a machine with a longer range for deployment over the Pacific. A developmentally related bomber with a lengthened fuselage and span came about, which nevertheless kept the recognizable pedigree of its predecessor. It did not manage to take part in front-line fighting, and its whole career played out in the postwar years, when it served with the British and the Australian air forces until the emerging jet types with a substantially greater range pushed it out of the armament.
The late form of the wheel differs from the early ones, so before buying look at which period your machine falls into. During the build leave the wheels to the end of the assembly and, while gluing, hold the model so that the compressed area points toward the mat. The gray tire gains character when the edge of the tread is lightened finely and a trace of lubricant is added at the hubs.
