A kit of a model of the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle in Ukrainian service, 1:144 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bayraktar TB2 is a Turkish unmanned aircraft for long patrol flights at medium altitude, able to carry light guided armament. You will recognize it at first glance: the fuselage runs into a pair of booms ending in tail surfaces forming an inverted letter V, and between them a pusher propeller driven by a piston engine does the work. The machine has become one of the best-known unmanned vehicles of the present day and Ukraine used it on a large scale too.
The wingspan of the real subject is twelve meters, so the finished model measures about eight centimeters across. It is a size that fits on a shelf beside airliners in the same scale and shows well how small a machine it really is. The small scale has a practical advantage too: the model takes up little room in a display case and can be built over a few evenings.
In a small scale the cleanness of the work matters more than the number of parts. Wash and degrease the parts before painting so that the paint holds. Glue the thin booms and tail surfaces on a flat surface and watch the symmetry, as a crooked tail is immediately visible on this shape. Apply a light base coat in thin layers so that the engraving is not lost. Fit the propeller at the very close of the build, because it breaks off easily while the model is handled.
The model is supplied unassembled. Paints, glue and other building material are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
