Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Douglas DC-7C long-range airliner in 1:144 scale from Roden, in a version with the decals of the Japanese airline. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, with parts in gray plastic, clear windows and a decal sheet. The slender four-engined aircraft is a rewarding subject for collectors of airliners.
The Douglas DC-7C was the peak of the development of the Douglas piston airliners and, thanks to its longer fuselage and range, it managed long-haul transcontinental and transoceanic routes as well. It was powered by four powerful radial engines. The service of this type falls in the last era of the great piston airliners, before jets replaced them.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Sand the fuselage joints and the leading edges of the wings carefully, because a smooth surface will stand out under a gloss-painted metal finish. Fit the windows only after the clear coat, and lay the decals on a gloss base so that they settle without silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
