A short-run plastic kit of the twin-engine McDonnell Douglas DC-9 airliner in the -30 version, in 1:144 scale, in the markings of the Kuwait Air Force. FLY is a Czech maker of short-run models. The package makes it possible to build a static model of this classic jet airliner.
The DC-9 was an American narrow-body airliner with a pair of jet engines mounted on the sides of the rear fuselage and a T-tail. The stretched -30 series was among the most numerous variants, and besides airlines it was operated by state and military users as a transport. The layout with rear-mounted engines gave a quiet cabin and good performance on short and medium routes.
With a short-run kit expect to clean up the parts and dry-fit them. The smooth gloss fuselage benefits from a good primer, fine sanding and an airbrush. Lay the paint down in thin coats for evenness. Fix the decals with a varnish compatible with the paint used.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
