1:144 Ilyushin IL76 Part 3: Ukraine Air force IL76MD is a decal sheet for a model of the heavy transport aircraft Ilyushin Il-76 from the Wolfpack brand. Target kit: Zvezda.
Responsibility details are not available.
The third part of the Wolfpack decal series devoted to the heavy transport aircraft Ilyushin Il-76. The sheet carries markings for machines of the Il-76MD version in service with the Ukrainian Air Force and serves to finish a model you build separately. A kit is not in the package. How many options the sheet offers does not follow from the name and is not stated here. The set is intended for the Zvezda kit.
The Il-76 came about as a transport aircraft able to work even where tamped earth takes the place of a concrete runway. The high-set wing with four turbofan engines leaves the fuselage low above the ground, the tail surfaces have the shape of a T, and at the rear a cargo ramp opens, up which vehicles can drive under their own power. The landing gear with many wheels spreads the weight over a large area, so the aircraft does not bury its wheels in a soft surface. The Il-76MD version is the military form with a strengthened structure and an increased takeoff weight.
Offer the large-area insignia up to the fuselage dry beforehand and find a reference point by which to position them. Smooth the surface under a decal with gloss varnish and work one feature at a time, so that the varnish under the next one does not dry out. Wipe the water away with a damp cloth from the center to the edges; remnants of adhesive would stay as glossy marks once dry. At the end unify the whole model with varnish to the degree of sheen you want.
