A printed display base from Mark I that faithfully captures the surface of a Royal Air Force (RAF) airfield in 1:144 scale. It is not a kit and not an accessory for a model, but a separate paper base (a card sheet) on which a model stands out strikingly for photography and in a display case.
The base creates a realistic setting under aircraft models in 1:144 scale: the hard surfaces and panels of an airfield apron. Thanks to its general motif it can also be used for models in other scales or as the ground for a smaller diorama. Just lay it on a flat surface and place the model on it.
We recommend backing the base with a stiffer board or weighting it so that it does not curl. The edges can be hidden with a frame or a molding. For longer life it is worth coating it with matte protective varnish, which protects the surface from wear.
This is a printed base, not a model and not a kit. The models in the photographs are not included.
