RAF S.E.5a Dual Combo 1:144 from Valom is a box containing two complete injection-molded kits of the British fighter biplane of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British First World War fighter biplane Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5a in the small 1:144 scale. In the Dual Combo box you will find two complete kits, so you can build a pair of machines straight away. The set is supplemented with photo-etched parts for the finest items and a decal sheet with several marking options. Treat the exact content of the sheet as indicative.
The S.E.5a was one of the most successful British fighters of the First World War. It stood out for its speed, its steadiness as a gun platform and its good view, which is why a number of legendary aces flew it. It was committed on the Western Front in the closing stage of the war and, together with the Sopwith Camel, formed the backbone of the British fighter force.
The small scale and the fine parts call for precise work and a sharp knife. Glue the plastic parts with thin cement, and the fine photo-etched struts and control items with cyanoacrylate glue. Assemble and paint the lower wing and the fuselage first, and fit the upper wing on its struts only once everything is dry. We recommend restrained painting; biplanes come alive with fine bracing wires stretched from drawn sprue or from thread.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
