For a modeler that means a pleasant thing, namely that the reference is practically within reach and does not have to be looked for in an archive.
Today's dress has more layers than older uniforms, a more pronounced breakdown and loops on which equipment hangs. The result is more small areas on the figure that touch one another, and the painting becomes finer for it. It is worth printing out two or three photographs from different angles, because the layout of the elements on the back and the sides is hard to guess from a single shot.
Choose a darker base, because a light base shows through under the saturated colors of present-day equipment. A brush will manage the large areas, but the transitions look cleaner from an airbrush led from one direction. Do not make the reflective elements pure white; they work better in a light, slightly saturated tone, which is then brought out only on the edges. Leave the face and the hands for the end, when you can hold the figure by finished parts without the risk of prints. Go over the transitions between neighboring areas a couple of times again, because on broken-up equipment an unfinished edge shows up even in a photograph.
