A complete Sd.Kfz. 234 wheel set with a spare, type 2 tread for 1:16 scale brings the second tread pattern with a weighted contact patch.

Tires for all the axles and for the spare for a large model of the German heavy reconnaissance car. The rubber is flattened in its lower part, as if the weight of the machine were bearing down on it, and the second version in the range brings a different tread pattern from the set marked with a one. In 1:16 scale it pays to pick the pattern from a photograph of the machine you want to build.
Power came from an air-cooled Tatra V12 diesel engine. The choice was deliberate: without a water radiator one of the most sensitive assemblies in heat and dust fell away, and the vehicle was originally meant for the North African campaign. Before production got going, however, the fighting in Africa ended and the machines went to other battlefields. The air-cooled engine nevertheless did them good there in Russian frosts and in the Italian summer, and together with a large fuel capacity it gave them a range that tracked vehicles could only dream of.
Leave the tires dusty rather than washed; the vehicles patrolled country roads for long hours. Work from a dark base through a dry brush on the edges of the tread to a fine dust on the sidewalls. Set the disc apart with the semi-matte shade of the hull.
Without a basic model the set cannot be used, and paints and glue should be obtained separately.
