The last of the renditions of the spare in the range for large models of eight-wheelers of the Sd.Kfz. 234 series. The wheel is sold separately, so you can add it to any wheel set of the same family and tune the look to your own subject. Anyone building several vehicles side by side will appreciate being able to give each a different spare, because units looked varied and an identically equipped column is in truth more of an exception than a rule.
A peculiarity of this eight-wheeler was the second driving position in the rear part of the hull. The vehicle therefore did not have to turn around on a narrow track, which on a machine over six meters long meant the difference between escape and loss. A diesel engine and a large tank capacity also granted it a range that tracked equipment never knew: a patrol could set out deep into unknown country and come back without refueling. This combination made it one of the most successful reconnaissance machines of its day.
Try dry whether the spare clashes with the kit on the side of the hull; in the large scales space runs short faster than you expect. Choose the color of the rubber with the surrounding surfaces in mind, so that the wheel does not jump forward as the darkest point of the whole model.
