An aftermarket set from the manufacturer MASTER in 1:16 scale containing two width indicators (Breitenmarkierung) in the short version, of the kind used for example on the Sd.Kfz. 250 and 251 light half-tracks. It is not a kit but a fine detailing accessory: the rods of the indicators themselves are of thin metal (brass), completed with resin bases so that the replacement of the plastic parts looks realistic and accurate.
Width indicators served the driver to judge the outline of the vehicle. The metal form is markedly thinner and stronger than injection-molded plastic and will take being bent to an exact shape. Thanks to that the model gains a fine detail matching its scale, which in the large 1:16 scale stands out particularly.
Deburr the metal parts and glue them on with super glue (cyanoacrylate); for a stronger joint the ends can be sanded. Degrease them before the glue. Paint them after gluing along with the vehicle; a metal surface holds better with a primer.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and intended to be fitted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
