Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic figure of a German soldier of the Second World War in the large collector scale of 1:16 from the Japanese company Tamiya. The machine gunner is dressed in a long winter greatcoat and an MG42 machine gun with its mount and accessories goes with him. The large scale lets the finely modeled folds of the clothing and the details of the face come into their own.
The figure captures a German machine gunner of the later period of the Second World War in a warm greatcoat of the kind soldiers wore in cold weather. The MG42 was among the most widespread German machine guns of that time. Separate parts for the equipment and the weapon make it possible to build a realistic looking figure suitable for a diorama as well as for a single display case piece.
The large format is rewarding for advanced painting techniques: a base coat, shading with oil paints, highlighting the folds of the greatcoat and careful work on the face. The weapon and the metal parts will come into their own with a dark base and fine dry brushing. Separate the parts carefully and clean the joints up before gluing.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
