1:72 SAAB B-5 is a masking set for the canopy glazing of the Swedish dive bomber, thanks to which the frames will be crisp and free of paint that has run in.
Responsibility details are not available.
These are airbrush masks for the canopy glazing of a model of the Swedish SAAB B 5 machine in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit or a spare part but an aid for painting. The masks are supplied pre-cut and self-adhesive, so there is no need to trace the frames onto masking tape and cut them out with a scalpel directly on the part. Check the extent of the set and the number of masks on the packaging.
The designation B 5 was carried in the Swedish Air Force by a single-engine dive bomber built under license after an American original from the Northrop family. The machine served in the second half of the 1930s and in the period that followed; it had fixed landing gear and a two-seat cockpit with elongated glazing. It is precisely that glazing that is the most conspicuous thing on the model, and masking gives it its final face.
Wash the clear part and let it dry out completely, as grease is the most common cause of paint running in. Lift the masks off with tweezers and, once they are in place, press them down all the way around. Spray in several thin coats instead of one heavy one. With a cockpit it pays to spray the interior shade first and only then the outer color, so that the frame looks right from the inside as well. Lift the mask off shortly after the paint has dried, in a pull at a sharp angle, and finally polish the glazing.
It is an accessory for painting. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
