The product carries the name of the shade Dark Blue. It is a paint from the assortment set aside for the drybrushing technique. It is not a kit and not an accessory but a finishing coloring medium.
Drybrushing gives the most striking result where the surface has a roughness of its own. Cast fabric, a tarpaulin, a seat, a knitted sweater, fur, wooden planks, the cast surface of a casting or the rough wall of a diorama — everywhere there, dozens of small peaks rise from the surface, on which the residual paint from the brush catches. The depths between them stay dark, and a texture that a uniform spray coat would swallow completely suddenly stands out and is legible even from an ordinary distance.
Drybrushing belongs only on a matured and well-dried coat of paint. On fresh paint the brush will smear the base and, in the worse case, wipe it off down to the plastic. With rough surfaces this applies doubly, because you press into them more than on a smooth edge.
For figure modelers, diorama builders and anyone who wants to get more out of textured surfaces than flat color.
Keep the paint tightly closed and out of the reach of children, and ventilate while working. You will find the instructions for thinning and processing on the manufacturer's packaging.
