A kit of the Type 055 destroyer of the PLA Navy under the name Dalian, scale 1:700, a release designated as the Deluxe Edition.
Responsibility details are not available.
Type 055 is a class of large guided-missile destroyers of the PLA Navy, which the abbreviation PLAN in the name stands for. They are sizable surface ships with a continuous superstructure, intended for escorting a formation as well as for independent service. Dalian is the name of one of the ships of this class, and it is precisely her form that the model treats.
The designation tells this release from the basic form of the same model, which the manufacturer issues separately. What exactly the release adds is given by the list of contents on the box, which is worth going through before buying. The extent of the parts and any accessories are described for both releases in the manufacturer's instructions.
A ship model in 1:700 scale stands or falls on care with the small parts. Separate the parts with sharp nippers a little way from the part and sand the mark left after separation down, otherwise it will stay visible on the slender superstructure. Wash and degrease the surface before painting. It works well to paint the hull and the superstructure separately and to join them only afterwards, because in the finished assembly you will no longer get at some surfaces. A matte varnish will unify the finished work.
Paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
