The instrument panel of the Hawker Hurricane Mk. I fighter in 1:2 scale, that is at half the real size. A stand-alone piece for a wall or a display case.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk. I is a British fighter which in the first years of the Second World War made up a more numerous part of the fighter defense of Britain than the later and more famous types. It was powered by a twelve-cylinder Merlin V12 engine. The instrument panel is the only place where the pilot met the aircraft directly, and that is why collectors see it differently from the other parts of the airframe.
Half the real size is in a different league from the usual modeling scales. This is not a part that could be built into an aircraft kit but a stand-alone piece intended for display. It can be placed flat in a display case or vertically on a wall, and it works beside finished models too, because it competes with them neither in size nor in subject. The same subject is also produced in a 1:1 variant.
What exactly is in the package and what the recommended procedure is are given in the manufacturer's instructions; follow them for any painting and surface finishing as well. Place the finished piece out of direct sunlight, otherwise the printed surfaces will fade. Remove dust from the detailed surface with a soft brush, dry.
The item is for collectors of aviation subjects and for the modeler who wants a striking piece in the room tied to a particular aircraft. Paints, glue and a frame or wall mount are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
