Rolls-Royce RB211-524G and H engines for the model of the Boeing 747-400 in 1:200 scale. According to the name, they are intended for the Hasegawa kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Boeing 747-400 was delivered with engines from three makers, and the British Rolls-Royce RB211-524 was one of those chosen mainly by European and Asian companies. It is a turbofan with three independently rotating spools, a design solution that sets the RB211 line apart from its rivals. The G and H forms are later variants intended precisely for the 747-400 version. On a model the engines are recognized by the shape of the nacelle and by its length, so mistaking them for another type is one of the things a connoisseur of airliners notices first.
The set brings the RB211-524 engines in the G and H forms in 1:200 scale as a replacement for the nacelles from the kit. According to the name, it counts on the Hasegawa kit. The extent of the parts and the procedure for seating them on the pylons are given in the instructions from the manufacturer.
In 1:200 scale every irregularity shows doubly, because the model is small and the eye looks at it from close up. So cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest back patiently, so that the intake ring stays even. The parts are not polystyrene, so ordinary cement for plastic will not join them; cyanoacrylate glue holds reliably. Paint the nacelles separately before gluing them to the pylons, otherwise you will have trouble reaching the underside of the wing. Wash and degrease the parts before painting.
For modelers of airliners who are building a particular 747-400 machine and want engines under the wing that match their subject. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
