A set of very small plastic figures in 1:200 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. It represents sailors of the US Navy in the Second World War and is intended above all to bring the decks of ship models in this scale to life. The box holds 60 figures on several sprues. The figures are unpainted and meant to be assembled and painted.
The crews of American warships of the Second World War numbered hundreds to thousands of men in roles from gunners to deck hands. In 1:200 scale these figures serve to fill the decks of battleships, aircraft carriers and cruisers and to complete the living impression of a model.
Given how very small they are, it is best to glue the figures with cyanoacrylate glue and to work with a magnifier and a fine brush. Block painting and a light wash that brings out the outlines work well. For figures this small, go for suggested detail rather than an excess of shades.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
