M-117 bombs of the late form with the MAU-103 conical fin, 1:32 from the manufacturer Reskit, six pieces in the set. External stores for finished models, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is not an aircraft model but a set of six M-117 aerial bombs in 1:32 scale from the manufacturer Reskit. According to the name it is the late form with the MAU-103 conical fin. The bombs hang under the pylons of a finished model, or they serve as equipment for an airfield diorama. The model, the pylons and the paints are not included in the package.
The M-117 is an American general-purpose aerial bomb of the 750-pound weight class, used from the 1950s on. What interests a modeler about it is above all the distinction between two store configurations: the late form with the MAU-103 conical fin, to which this set corresponds, and the retarded version designated M-117R with a fin of different construction. The two differ in the shape of the tail and are not interchangeable when building a particular machine. The name of this set lists a wide range of carriers, from American-built tactical aircraft to large bombers.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry thoroughly, so that the primer holds. Cut away any casting residue with a sharp blade, sand the surface back and protect your airways while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The painting procedure is straightforward: primer, base shade, a gentle wash into the engraved lines and finally a matte clear coat. The color bands and the technical lettering on bombs are usually done with decals, but those are not part of the set. A set of six makes it possible to load the stores symmetrically on both wing halves.
