This plastic kit from Amusing Hobby in 1:35 scale captures the T-90M, the most modern version of the Russian main battle tank of the T-90 series (the Proryv modernization program). The set also contains photo-etched parts for finer detail.
The T-90M is a deep modernization of the T-90 tank produced by Uralvagonzavod. Compared with the older versions it was given a redesigned welded turret, a more modern fire control system and a number of features that increase its survivability. Characteristic are the Relikt reactive armor (in place of the older Kontakt-5), a remote weapon station on the turret and additional slat armor. The main armament is a 125 mm gun.
Assemble the running gear and the tracks before closing the hull up. Use liquid cement on the plastic and glue the fine photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); check that the reactive armor blocks and the slat armor sit correctly. We recommend a primer and an airbrush. Present-day vehicles tend to wear a uniform green or camouflage scheme, and washes, filters and pigments will help to bring out the rivets, the recesses and the dust on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
