A clear film for the vision ports, the periscopes and the optical glass on a model of the T-80U tank. An accessory for a finished model that replaces a blind plastic casting with a transparent surface.
Several brands make this tank in 1:35 scale and the individual kits differ in the layout and the shape of the instruments. The film is therefore cut specifically for the Trumpeter kit. SX-Art also makes a version for another manufacturer's kit under the same name, and that link is the only difference between them. Before you reach for the set, look into the box you have at home, because the mounts and the frames of the vision ports come out a different size in every mold, and a part from the wrong variant will either overhang or float in its seat. Experienced builders sometimes get by with a set for a different kit, but then expect to fine-tune every seat separately.
The T-80U is a variant of the Soviet T-80 tank, which differs from the other machines of its generation in being driven by a gas turbine instead of a diesel engine. The U version received a more advanced fire control system and additional protection, which also shows in the observation and sighting equipment on the turret.
