An SX-Art mask set for the Typhoon-K armored vehicle in 1:72 scale is cut to the shape of the glazing and the vision ports of the model. In this scale the parts are genuinely small and are handled with tweezers.

This self-adhesive mask set from SX-Art is intended for a model of the Typhoon-K wheeled armored vehicle in 1:72 scale. The parts are stuck onto the areas that are to stay clear, the model is sprayed and the mask is lifted off once dry. It is not a kit, but an accessory for a model you need to have.
In 1:72 the whole vehicle is about as long as your palm, and its windows and vision ports are in proportion. The masking parts are therefore tiny and behave differently from masks for large scales: they are hard to lift with a fingernail, they fold easily and they crease if pressed down carelessly. This is not a fault, it is a property of the scale. Have ready sharp fine-tipped tweezers, the tip of a sharp knife to lift a part off its backing, a soft wooden stick to press it down and above all good light; a magnifier or magnifying glasses will make the work much easier.
Degrease the parts and let them dry. Lift a part with the tip of the knife, move it with tweezers and lay it on dry; do not touch the adhesive side with your fingers. Once the position is right, press the edges down with the stick so that paint does not run under the mask. Spray the paint in thin coats and rather put more of them on, because a thick coat builds a ridge at the edge of the mask that stays visible once it is lifted. Take the mask off while the paint is only set, not fully cured, and pull it straight up rather than sideways.
