Landing flaps for the Boeing 737-200 in 1:200 scale. An add-on set with which the model gets a landing configuration. It is not an aircraft kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on from LACI for a model of the Boeing 737-200 in the small 1:200 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a set that replaces the rear part of the plastic wing of the kit and gives the finished model a landing configuration with the high-lift devices extended.
The Boeing 737-200 represents the first generation of the most widespread family of airliners in the world. You will recognize it by the slim cigar-shaped nacelles of the Pratt & Whitney JT8D engines, which were slung close under the wing, and by the overall shorter fuselage. It was exactly this generation that flew with dozens of operators from the end of the 1960s, and many machines lived to see a long career with smaller airlines as well. In the small 1:200 scale the model is slender and fits easily into a display case, but details such as extended flaps stand out on it all the more.
In 1:200 scale the parts are tiny, so work with tweezers and over a mat from which a small part will not get lost. Cut the rear edge of the wing off with a saw in thin steps and even the cut out on abrasive paper laid on a hard board. Dry-fit the parts first and watch for the same extension angle on both wings. Paint the inner surfaces in advance, because a brush will not reach them once they are glued in. Bond the plastic parts with cement for plastic, and joints with another material with super glue applied in a minimal amount, so that the glue does not run into the detail.
