The Mirage 2000C is a French single-seat fighter with a delta wing and without horizontal tail surfaces. Brazil operated these machines in the air defense role and some of them received a special finish to commemorate a significant event. The subject of this sheet is exactly such a form, dedicated to the memory of the racing driver Ayrton Senna, one of the best known names in Brazilian sport.
Decals in 1:48 scale for a model of the Mirage 2000C in Brazilian service in a special form. The extent of the sheet, that is, whether besides the main motif it also contains captions and national insignia, is given in the manufacturer's instructions. Prepare a gloss base under the decals; on a matte surface air stays under the film and once dry the edge shows as a light rim.
Cut the motif out close to the edge and soak it in clean lukewarm water until it starts to move on the backing paper. Lay it onto the dampened gloss surface, slide it off the paper and draw the surplus water off with a soft cloth from the center to the edges. On broken-up surfaces a decal softener helps to settle the decal into the engraving; let it work and do not move the decal again. Once dry, give the area a coat of varnish, so that the edges disappear.
What is supplied is the decal sheet on its own. A model, paints, varnish and a decal softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
