1:48 F/A-18E Super Hornet cockpit set is an Aires detail cockpit set for a model of the F/A-18E carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. It replaces the simplified interior from the kit.

This is an accessory for the build, not an aircraft model. The set replaces the cockpit interior from the production kit with a more finely worked assembly with detailed texture of the panels and instruments. On a modern carrier fighter, which is often built with the canopy open, the cockpit is the most closely watched place on the whole model.
The F/A-18E Super Hornet is a single-seat carrier multirole fighter of the US Navy. Compared with the earlier Hornet versions it has a larger airframe, bigger air intakes and longer range. The cockpit is a typical example of the so-called glass cockpit, where screens have replaced conventional dials - and that is exactly the detail where a kit interior usually falls short.
Reckon on the set being intended for more experienced modelers. Compare the parts with the kit dry first and only then sand the mating faces; material often has to come off inside the fuselage halves too. Wash and degrease all the parts before painting, because paint holds badly on an untreated surface. Bond with super glue; conventional cement for plastic has no effect here. Use respiratory protection while sanding and sand damp. Deal with as much of the painting as possible before assembly, as the details will be out of reach afterwards.
