The accessory set Westland Sea King HAS.1 in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. A bundle of several sets for detailing a model of the British naval helicopter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A package from the line of accessory bundles of the Czech maker Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit of the helicopter but a collection of accessories that are otherwise sold separately and that are meant to move the detail of a model of the Sea King in the HAS.1 anti-submarine version on. The exact composition of the bundle is given by the manufacturer on the box.
The Westland Sea King is the British license-built variant of the American Sikorsky S-61, which Westland reworked markedly, above all by fitting Rolls-Royce Gnome turbines and avionics of its own. The HAS.1 version was the first anti-submarine variant of the Royal Navy and it entered service at the turn of the 1960s and 1970s. It carried a search radar, a dipping sonar and armament against submarines, and thanks to its boat hull it could stay on the water in an emergency. The machine had folding main rotor blades and a folding tail section, so that it would fit into the hangar of an aircraft carrier or a frigate. The Sea King stayed in British service for decades and became known as a rescue helicopter as well.
The set belongs in the hands of a modeler who has built helicopters before and wants to get the most out of a model of the Sea King. For beginning builders we recommend starting with a smaller set on its own.
