The Yokohama Advan Neova AD09 in the narrower form for 1:24 scale is sporting road rubber for builds with ordinary wheel arches.
Responsibility details are not available.
A model accessory for those who are building a sporting road car and do not want a circuit semi-slick but rubber of the kind sharply tuned cars wear in ordinary use. The narrower version is built for wheel arches of production width, so it suits builds without a widened body.
The Advan Neova is the sporting road line of the Japanese tire brand Yokohama, and the designation AD09 belongs to its newer form. It is rubber meant for the road that will take an occasional track day too, so the tread pattern is distinct and broken up, not slick-like. An asymmetric pattern with pronounced blocks on the outer side and a finer division toward the center of the tread is typical of it, which on a model is clearly apparent from above and when looking at a standing car. For a builder it is a choice that looks believable on sporting sedans, hatchbacks and coupes in civilian form.
An asymmetric tread pattern means that the tire has an outer and an inner side, and when fitting it is a good idea to respect that the same way on all the wheels. You support the look of the tread by applying a dark shade that can be wiped off into the grooves and wiping the excess across the pattern; the grooves gain depth and the surface stops coming across as flat. Leave the sides matte and clean, as road rubber on a model is usually not soiled as much as racing rubber.
The item is an accessory for a part-built model, not a kit in its own right.
