A set of wheels in the Rotiform DIA pattern 20 inches in diameter for automobile models in 1:24 scale. A replacement for the wheels supplied in a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Rotiform is an American wheel make whose patterns appear above all on modified cars; the individual forms are told apart by a short abbreviation, in this case DIA. The twenty-inch size belongs to modern-day modifications, where a large wheel fills the arch and the sidewall of the tire stays low. In 1:24 scale, twenty inches corresponds to roughly 21 mm.
The set brings wheels in the DIA pattern in 1:24 scale as a replacement for the wheels from the box. It will find use on builds of modern cars to which the wheels are to give the character of a modified automobile, and where the parts from a kit do not have the drawing needed. The extent of the package, how the parts are divided and the recommended glue are given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
A large wheel will fit into the arch only when both the diameter and the width suit, so seat it dry first and compare it with the model; sometimes the arch has to be sanded out from the inside. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder level. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. The rim comes across more faithfully when the metallic shade is completed with a dark lift between the spokes and the edges are left clean.
The set is for modelers who build modern automobiles in 1:24 scale and want a wheel in the style of modified cars. It is an accessory to building a model: paints, glue and tools do not belong to it, unless stated otherwise.
