Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the German single-seat fighter Heinkel He 112 in the B version, in 1:72 scale from the RS Models firm. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and the package holds plastic parts, decals and instructions.
The He 112 came about in the mid-1930s as a competition design for a new fighter for the Luftwaffe. It was an all-metal low-wing aircraft with a wing of elliptical plan, an enclosed cockpit and an undercarriage that retracted into the wing inwards toward the fuselage, and which therefore had an unusually wide track. It was powered by a liquid-cooled V12. The competing Messerschmitt Bf 109 won the contest in the end, and the He 112 did not reach mass production for the Luftwaffe at home. The B version was therefore largely exported, where it served with several European and non-European air forces.
Before you start gluing, try the parts dry, above all the joint of the wing with the fuselage and the seating of the undercarriage bays. Assemble and paint the cockpit before gluing the fuselage together. Cut the excess material off the parts with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest back, so that the edge is not damaged. Rescribe the seams after sanding, otherwise the surface engraving disappears. Apply the decals onto gloss varnish and even the finished model out with a matte coat.
For a modeler who collects less usual types of the 1930s and does not want a shelf holding only machines that everyone has built.
The package contains plastic parts, decals and instructions. Paints, glue and varnishes are not included, unless stated otherwise.
